1. Introduction

Welcome to the official online application portal of the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (hereinafter referred to as “BSEO” / “Board”). By accessing or using this website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use this portal.

2. Purpose of the Portal

This portal is intended solely for:

Registration of candidates
Submission of examination applications
Payment of examination/application fees
Download of admit cards, notifications, and related documents

3. User Registration & Account Responsibility

Users must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during registration.
Once registered, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Email ID cannot be modified.
The user is solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
Any activity under the user account will be treated as authorized by the user.

4. Application Submission

The application must be submitted within the specified timeline.
Once final submission is done, no modification is allowed.
Incomplete or incorrect applications may be rejected without notice.
The Board reserves the right to verify any information submitted.

5. Payment Terms

Application fees must be paid through the authorized online payment gateway integrated into the portal.
BSEO is not responsible for any transaction failure due to:
- Network issues
- Bank/payment gateway downtime
- Incorrect payment details entered by the user
In case of failed transactions with amount debited, users should:
- Wait for automatic reconciliation (usually within 5–7 working days), or
- Contact their respective bank/payment provider
No duplicate payments should be made unless necessary.

6. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Application fees once paid are non-refundable and non-transferable, except in cases of:
- Duplicate payment due to technical error
- Payment collected but application not recorded
Refunds, if applicable, will be processed as per Board policy within a reasonable timeframe.

7. User Conduct

Users shall not:

Submit false or misleading information
Attempt unauthorized access to the system
Interfere with the functioning of the website
Upload malicious content or scripts

Violation may result in:

Cancellation of application
Legal action under applicable laws

8. Intellectual Property

All content, including text, logos, graphics, and software on this portal, is the property of BSEO and protected under applicable laws. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.

9. Disclaimer

The Board strives to ensure accuracy but does not guarantee completeness or correctness of all information at all times.
The Board reserves the right to:
- Modify, suspend, or discontinue any service without prior notice
- Update examination rules, eligibility, and schedules

10. Limitation of Liability

BSEO shall not be liable for:

Any direct or indirect loss arising from use of the portal
Technical issues beyond its control
Data loss due to user negligence

11. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of courts located in Odisha.
